Buyer consolidation from China

Buyer consolidation means cargo from more than one Chinese supplier moves as one LCL shipment or one full container. Yihang times the pickups to the same cutoff, checks that the documents describe the same consignee, and quotes one international leg instead of a pile of small ones.

Containers lined up in a terminal

Who it is for

  • Importers buying from several factories in the same week
  • Trading companies that should not pay a separate sailing for every supplier
  • Buyers whose suppliers are ready on different days and need one cutoff

What the file includes

  • A single cutoff for the suppliers you name
  • Pickup or supplier delivery into the same lot
  • One export file that matches the combined packing list
  • FCL if the combined cargo fills a box, LCL if it does not
  • A quote that shows the combined weight and CBM, not a blended guess

Questions shippers ask

When is consolidation worth it?

When two or more suppliers would otherwise ship small lots on separate bookings. Combining them into one LCL shipment or one container usually costs less and arrives as one file. It is the wrong tool if the suppliers are weeks apart.

Do the suppliers have to be in the same city?

No. They have to make the same cutoff. A Dalian factory and a Qingdao factory can share a sailing if the trucking is booked in time. If they cannot, we will say so.

Who issues the bill of lading?

One international leg gets one bill, with the combined cargo described. Each supplier still needs a commercial invoice that matches what was loaded.

What should the inquiry include?

Each supplier’s city, what they are shipping, estimated CBM and weight, and the destination. Exact cubes can follow. The first reply tells you whether it is one container or an LCL lot.
